zipping through the clean winding roads
i hear the sounds of 1988
pump it was that made the grade
and those naughty boys were made
after snorting away their planes

run dmc earns respect
for reviving them when we didn't expect
or understand what they stood for
the Toxic Twins spread their legs
and posed with ugly faces

ugly, badass and inventive
they deserve their moment in my past
coming to be my birthday present
respect those dudes, they've got the cojones
reminding me a bit of the Rolling Stones
